Tricia M. Osborne
Elementary/Middle School Principal

Welcome to the Madison Academy Team! I would like to introduce myself to those of you who do not know me. My name is Tricia Osborne and I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the families of Madison and make this year a successful academic and personal experience for you and your child(ren).
This will begin my 14th year at Madison Academy. For seven years, I was in the classroom instructing our wonderful kindergarten students. For three years, I had the privilege of working with all the elementary and middle school students as the School Dean, Testing Coordinator, Homeless Liaison, and the Preschool Director.  This is my fourth year as the Elementary/Middle School Principal. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Education from Central Michigan University and also hold a Master’s Degree in Early Education from the University of Michigan Flint and a School Administration Graduate Certificate from Eastern Michigan University.
On a personal note, I have been married to my wonderful husband, Dennis for eleven years.  I have three absolutely beautiful daughters. Lilian is 11 and Samantha is 8, and Allison turned three in  November.  Lilian is in Sixth Grade and loves to play basketball,  softball, and volleyball.  Samantha is in Third Grade. She loves to play Soccer and softball. Allison loves playing outside, making projects and swimming.

Thank you for choosing Madison! I enjoy working in the educational field and hope to continue to make an impact in children’s lives for years to come. I am a true believer that the success of each student depends on a partnership between school and home.  If you have any questions, concerns, and/or ideas please feel free to contact me.

Living Wax Museum. March 2nd:

In honor of Black History Month, Madison Academy will be participating in a Living Wax Museum on March 2nd!

March 2nd, 2018

Madison Academy

We welcome parents, grandparents, and family members to join us for our Living Wax Museum on March 2nd at 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

This activity requires the students to identify significant contributions of a famous historical African American. The students will get to choose the person to portray with the teacher’s permission. In selecting a person, the students will find someone of historical significance; someone who has been successful in their goals and dreams; and/or someone who represents the “best” of people and the world.  The “living wax museum” is a collection of visual displays where students, dressed as famous individuals, stand at attention, while visitors walk around and tour exhibits illustrating the life of the person represented.

School Closings:

As the weather changes there is a possibility that we will have to cancel school due to unsafe conditions. The 1st notification will come via the automated call system. In addition, the closing will be posted on ABC12 and Fox66.

DOUBLE THE CHOCOLATE, DOUBLE THE PROFITS! While most people are familiar with World’s Finest(R) Chocolate’s $1 bar fundraisers, Madison will be participating in the $2 a bar fundraiser. The $2 bars are larger than the $1 bars, and come in the same best-selling flavors. In addition, there are delicious chocolate covered almonds, chocolate covered raisins, mints, and boxed caramels available for $2. There’s something for everyone! Help us to meet our goal of 100 cases sold!
